The duo of composer, pianist, improviser, and educator Andrzej Karałow and composer, improviser, and sound artist Jérôme Noetinger was conceived by KODY Festival curator Grzegorz Paluch. He brought together the subtle phrasing and harmonic piano playing of the former with the magnetic, electronic “tentacles” of the latter. The piano undergoes a metamorphosis through the workings of the tape machine, multiplying and playing with its own distorted reflection. It is a journey through imagined landscapes, haunted by a ghostly presence. Following their premiere concert in Warsaw in May 2024 and several days of recording sessions, the artists reunite to celebrate the release of their debut album.
