A Canadian composer and performer working at the intersection of acoustic and electronic music. Her work, often described as emotional and transcendental, is based on exploring sound memory, musical systems, and alternative tuning. She has performed worldwide, collaborating with artists such as Floating Points, Actress, and Caterina Barbieri. Her works have been presented at venues including the Elbphilharmonie, Barbican, and the Science Museum in Montreal. Coverdale is known for both her experimental compositions and energetic, surprising live performances.
